197: Climate control + Xenons

Hi guys and gals

I am wanting a 197 in albi blue sometime this spring/summer and am considering one with climate control and xenons (darker lights) with washer jets

Am i right in thinking the climate control is good?

Also are the darker lights xenon fitted and what benefits do these have other than a cool nice stylish finish and being projector?

Thanks

Climate control is good, and apart from anything else it really smartens up the interior. IMO the regular (non-Climate) A/C controls look decidedly "Playmobil".

The darker lights have cornering lamps fitted. If the car has headlamp wash and auto levelling then it will also have xenons; these are much better than the standard lights.

I love my xenons, they are fantastic pieces of kit. Combined with the cornering lights they are all you could wish for, much better than the yellow candles otherwise available. I don't think I would buy another car without them!

I totally agree about the appearence and how it tidies up the interior nicely, this is why i would like it. As for the lights thanks for the great info  what are cornering lamps?

Im sure id feel the same buddy, they just add that extra style and finish the front end off apart from splitter. Are the xenons as good as HID's as i swear by HID's, i would be lost without them in my current corsa c projector lights

HID's are just aftermarket xenons. OE Xenons are the real deal.

The cornering lamps illuminate when you turn the wheel to light up the corner

They are useful. Look out for cars that have had the dark lamps retrofitted; the cornering lamps won't work.

It is easy enough to tell if they work, turn the lights on and turn the wheel, making sure the car is not in reverse. Obviously only one side will be on at any one time (in addition to both dip/main beam).

thank you for this great tip buddy  i shall make sure i check if they have been retrofitted, i really am starting to push myself to getting a 197 sooner, ive looked at 2 and been dissappointed as they arent to my list that i want.

Yes i have a list of things i want
