Cat or no cat

Hi, I have got a 197 with a standard exhaust with decat. I have bought a ktec catback and want to know whether to put the cat on the new system or decat it. Will the decat make it too loud, and will it pop more with the decat on the ktec than the decat on standard exhaust.

Yes it will pop more and be louder.

I have the ktec exhaust with a ktec decat and it sounds mint, best sounding exhaust if you ask me

Is the KTEC resonated or non-resonated? If non then yes I'd imagine it would be very loud.

If you don't plan on having the car mapped I'd run it with either the standard cat or a sports cat.

Thanks, the car is resonated, I just want to make sure that it won't be too loud with a decat. I currently have a decated standard system, I bought the car like that so I don't know much about the 'flat spot'

For what a remap would cost on one of these I'd be looking to get it done, just helps it run a bit smoother and you get a slight power boost across the rev range which makes the car nicer to drive. The A/F ratios will also be set more optimal for the de-cat so you might even get a 'slight' increase in mileage lol.
