Brakes

Ok so not had the Clio long but have some track pads to go in and keep reading about pins etc

so please someone clarify

1- what tools are needed outside of the normall sokets spanners to change brakes front and rear ? are the rear wind backs etc

2- do you need new pins every time

3- where is the best place to get them

4- anything else i should be aware of thanks .

1) for fronts, literally a punch and mallet. As its tap the pins out. swap pads, tap pins back in.

2) no. I have done 3 pad changes on mine in the last 12 months and the pins are still 100%. I think maybe those that have had issues due to them not being removed for long periods of time.

3) I got replacements from k-tec (as a spare set), just remember they only come in pairs. So you will need 1 x pair per caliper.

4) nope. from your previous posts it looks like you can weild a spanner, so shouldnt be any issue at all!

to change rear pads mate you need a wind back tool if your fitting new pads
