Boot unlocking

So I was just driving along about a hour ago and the boot randomly unlocked whilst moving. It didn't fully open it seems like the locking mechanism unlocked on its own.

Anyone else has this problem?

Yes, today randomly. Popped into tesco, and come back to find my boot unlocked with my ipad and stuff in.

Opened the boot and all I could hear was the lock trying to engage. Having a random fit!

Mine just unlocked as I was driving.

I've just been putting the locks on whilst driving to stop it but i'll get it looked at next week.

mines just started doing this. Apparently is the switch, they can get water ingress that causes these weird faults. Going to strip mine down sat.

it the water getting in to the wires. Check the 3rd rear brake light, that most problem where leak coming in.

Was water in the switch. Cleaned out, bit of WD40, jobs now a good un!

Weird fault though!

How do you access the switch guys?

Take the boot trim off, then get your hand in and squeeze the clips and push it out. You wont get it out by just levering it, you'll break it that way

Anyone know the part number for the two rubber bungs on either side in the diagram?
