BCR8ES spark plugs ???

hi all iam 4k off my third service but i want to change the plugs i seen a topic about using a BCR8ES which i have a set of in the garage unused as i used to have a cozzy not a chav lol....what do u think ?,,,,,,and are the gapped the same as the 197 ?

Ah spark plugs.. the snake oil that never stops giving. The OEM plug will be 100% perfect for it's application. If it's knackered or dirty then put new ones in.. job done.

You only need to start changing manufacturers if the plug is failing early and you want something to last longer.. i.e. an Iridium plug should last longer than Platinum. There will be no power increase by replacing plugs though... a spark is a spark, no matter what the marketing departments will tell you.

Generally, you can't go wrong with NGK Iridium plugs, but I wouldn't go messing with the tempreture range of the plug unless you're super/turbo charging the engine.

Any reason you don't want to use OEM plugs?
