Not been on for a week or so and have to say I missed browsing the forum.:hug::hug:
Reason being a 5 day break in Vegas.
I know I mentioned it to a few people and lots of you had already been - I have to say it was amazing.roud:
So much to take in I don't know where to start. The hotels and strip are just mind blowing, pictures don't do it justice and everything is just immense and lit up.
We stayed at the MGM grand and the hotel is the 3rd biggest is the world - as such we were greeted with a map when checking in (I still got lost all week);/
There were around 20 shops and restaurants and 6 or 7 pools I think.
The night life was great - loads of bars, restaurants and clubs (and Casino's!) and the one bar we went to (Ghost Bar) was on the 51st floor with a glass balcony which of an evening made the strip look stunning.
In total I reckon we had about 3 hours sleep a night and me and the missus are totally nackered now.
Didn't get time to go to the Grand Canyon but hoping to return and maybe do a drive to LA or route 66 some day.
A couple of things that shocked me (seeing as it is Sin City) were the amount of families there (why would you take your kids to Vegas??) and the amount of American tourists (met one British Person all week)
I would recommend it to any girls/guys or couples as it has everything you could want - just don't expect to relax - even the pools play banging music all day long.:thumbup1::thumbup1:
