Alternative brake cooling ducts

I've seen a lot of pics of brake cooling duct installs that take out the front fogs and replace them with specially shaped plastic scoops. I want to put some cooling ducts into my 197, but I also want to keep the front fogs, and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it.

I was thinking of using 50mm PVC plumbing pipe and fittings to run some tubes from each side of the bottom centre grill around to the insides of the front arch liners...


...like so. I think there's enough clearance between the grill and the radiator, but as the front of my car is in bits at the moment, I can't really check. Do you reckon it's feasible to do something like this?

It is feasible, but easier if you remove the fogs. I run a 320/340 meglio, don't use ducting, and have never had a problem on road or track.

I guess I'd rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them.

I don't see why not, it's actually a good idea and provided there's enough space, seems like it would work!

The Clio R3 rally ones take that route from the lower grill you just have to locate the washer bottle
