AirCon connected to Cambelt?

As above really, I had my cambelt done a week or two ago and since then I have had a squeak from the air con pump when it is on.

Bit odd.

Can anyone think what that is if it isn't the cambelt.

:innocent:

The auxiliary belt drives the air con. Are you sure it is not a bad bearing? Sometimes if old rollers are reused the bearings can't cope with the tension of a new belt and they start to deteriorate. It is also possible that the mechanic forgot to properly clean the pulleys. Fat from fingers or oils on the pulleys can cause belts to slip.

I had everything except the water pump done - it cost me enough!

I will get back in touch with them and see what they say.

Thanks for the input.
