There are panel filters made by firms like itg which fit into the standard airbox or there are induction kits using cone type filters ktec sell them itg do them too and there are others. Though from what I have read the original airbox design is effective and the only advantage with the induction kits is the sound, that's why I fitted an itg panel filter in place of the original paper filter.
The cup race cars used the airbox from the clio v6 but fitting one of them requires moving the battery to make room.

PiperCross filter for me, supposedly the same as the ITG filter, but it was a good deal cheaper. Picked it up for about £30, whereas the ITG was around £55

stick to oem..not worth the money unless you go for an induction kit...
run an ITG panel filter myself..

I had an ITG in my 197, hardly noticed any different too oem, unless yours is ready for replacing them I wouldn't bother upgrading.

On a standard car, adding a panel filter(K&N), yes there are differences. Added intake noise, added throttle response, from lower down the rev range( tested via time trails, and was quicker accelerating). Downside less MPG,like that matters

More efficient air filters improve fuel economy. As more air in the engine means more power, so to get to the same level of power with a less efficient filter more revs are required, more revs=more fuel
Thats the principal anyway

Oh i see
Its seems like the oe/k&n inbox is the most recommended,i was wondering how good the k&n block all the dirt comparing to oe [emoji15][emoji15] [emoji780]

Check your handbook, I am sure in your climate they would recommend changing it more frequent. A positive to the non-paper (OEM) filter is that you can clean it as regular as you need which may be more relevant to you.

The only way they can flow more, is by filtering less. An OE paper filter will filter more than an aftermarket air filter. Is the difference worth worrying about though..............?

They are not necessarily any less effective as unlike a dry paper filter that relies entirely on stuff being to big to get through it, the aftermarket filters are covered in an oil so something only needs to touch the filter and the oil makes it stick. they filter the air using a similar but different method.
