Aftermarket Gear Knob Fitment

Hi Guys,

Looking for a little guidance, recently purchased an aftermarket gear knob (Richbrook Classic Silver Ball) and removing the original Renault gear knob which came off surprisingly easy without launching my fists through the headliner.

For anyone who's removed there gear knob you are met with a yellow plastic support housing at the top of the gear stick which holds the original gear knob into place, my question is in order to fit an aftermarket gear knob does this yellow plastic piece need to be removed?

In my mind it does, but before it gets 'removed' would anyone who has fitted an aftermarket gear knob be able to confirm, cheers!

That’s ace. Does it just got to the shaft with grub screws when you remove the plastic sleeve? [emoji106]

Cheers. It does, just like you say straight onto the shaft once the plastic sleeve is removed. You may have to adjust the amount which the gear knob sits on the shaft as you still need to select reverse, but it isn't a problem to be honest.
