Aerial Problem

This is ridiculous but I fitted a Sony head unit but can't get either the aerial adaptor that came with it or the other one I bought to connect to the standard aerial plug.

What do i need to get it to fit?

I ripped the stupid wee metal attachment the standard one has and stripped the wire back but still can't get it to connect.

Please help.

It's called a Fakra to DIN adapter.

Yeh but before i know this i ripped the metal connector off the end of the original wire
