Advice on replacing gearbox :(

Hi

I have just ordered the below gearbox due to 4th gear crunch.

From what I've read I am best to buy a Clutch and Slave Cylinder, and replace these at the same time. Where is best to get these from? K-tec?

Is there anything else I should look to replace while doing the gearbox?

Also is it a big job to replace gearbox? Hoping I can get a friend to do it as Renault wanted a outrageous amount of money!

No not from ktec, Renault mate

you can get a LUK clutch kit for half the Renault RRP, mine cost

clutch £126
slave cylinder £103

then you need to box oil.

Any recommendation for gearbox oil?

I mean half the price of a Renault boxed one ;-)

looking around I got the clutch @ trade (mates rates)

part no for the clutch is 623327709

gear a oil, have a search I just let birchdown sort it (rs specialist)

gearbox feels awesome btw, it's surprising how slack they go. Mine had done 50k.

Cars done 40K but I had my gearbox replaced after 10K under warranty, so 30K and it's minced

i read somewhere that replacing the synchro mesh might do the trick..or do u need a new gearbox??would have thought that the cost would drop down a bit...am i wrong?
