Adjusting back box

Does anyone know how to adjust the alignment of the back box?

Since fitting some tailpipe trims it has become obvious that my back box isn't as level as I would like. Since refitting the diffuser, none of the fittings can be seen; some of my clips seem rather brittle so I am reluctant to take it off again just for a peek, and was hoping for some pointers?

I'm not sure about the standard backbox but when the first K-Tec system was released (magnex) it was out of line and I adjusted mine with different washers on a mounting bracket.

Trial and error really.

not much to adjust really apart from the outer 2 rear silencer hangers as the standard system is all one piece !
they are bolted on to the rear corners of the chassis and could be packed out with washers to even things up

What about heating up the hangers?

My car has had the midsection replaced, is this likely to have affected the alignment?

if its been replaced then it should be clamped - so it should be adjustable
and you could heat up the hangers - but do you really want to do that under the car !!!!

thats what I thought RE: the clamps, will get the guys to have a look at it next time it is down at the garage.
