It’s a run I’ve done many time is the M5 and the Clio and it’s was equally brilliant in these old boys! 6ix down there and the 944 on the way back. No idea which I prefer, they’re both great. 6ix is all brawn and the 944 light on its feet.

Great morning runout.

The 944 is one of the cars that I can’t decide whether I like it or not ??

Lovely colours and both look stunning in that scenery

I know what you mean! Not sure we would have bought ours if we hadn’t come across it at the Classic car show and fallen in love! Now that we own it, I love it. Get better looking every time I see it and the way the light plays off the box arches makes me very very happy!

Good fun to drive and a very reliable classic to run and own.

Ours has done 41k miles from new and is mint.

Seeing it at the NEC and my Dad with the look of a man whose trying to think how to explain to my mum he’s bought half a Porsche by accident!

Porka is stunning. Very retro cool. And the colour so suits it for what it is. Love it !!!

Not that many years ago i wasn't a real fan. That and the 924 being really quite a popular car in my childhood. But it's gone past the 'couple of models old' stage (At least in my head) and is a classic now. I wouldn't mind opening my garage door and seeing one !! I bet like many - they are really increasing in value too.

**On the same body style - i always had a real love for a bright yellow 968 ClubSports. Bet the price of a decent one is frightening now.

ENJOY and cheers for the pics......

Cheers! The colours of both really compliment each other!

And agree - a yellow club sport is on my ‘one day’ list!

What a great way to start the day! I love the 944, always have done. I started driving in the late '70s & remember them at the time & wondering if they really would be the end of the 911.I'm glad it wasn't but kinda wish Porsche would build something in a similar vein alongside the current range. Unlikely! I have vivid memories of following one into a series of tight bends on a local dual carriageway, being driven by a woman who obviously had the car for it's badge, not what it could do. She suddenly braked, apparently scared of taking the bends so fast. I passed her some 30mph faster (must've been doing 70 then!) driving my 45bhp Metro City. I thought "What a waste, please swap cars with me!"
As you say it's great the different driving experiences you get from different cars, but equally enjoyable in their own way. I miss my recently departed Clio terribly. Not quite dialled in to the S1 that replaced it yet, but that'll come. I get equal pleasure from cruising in my E Class convertible. That Metro was a hoot with it's go kart handling. I guess I just love driving!
