4 new tyres needed

So...I'm now going to need 4 new tyres (fronts were only put on last may).

Question is, do i put another 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A on or not?

I quite like the idea of some R888's or AD08's, but at near on 1K for a set to be mainly used for road driving, perhaps a trip to the 'ring and maybe the odd trackday, would it be a bit of a waste?

Would i be needing another set after a few months of harsh road driving? When we inevitably get some downpours, will they be pretty crap and not too safe?

Those RE050A tyres are cracking.... I'd be sticking with them for the use the car gets, those Potenza's perform well on track too for the odd day here and there.

i think R888's would be a little excessive for mainly road use, getting heat in them ect. AD08's aren't a bad shout, they have full 8mm depth, so they'll last too.

Have you tried the RE 070's?

A mate has them on a focus rs and rates them.

I have them on the 200. Great tyre and a definite step up over the RE050a.
