200 alloys .... Cups and speedlines ....

Has anyone ever weighed the cup alloy and the speedline alloy? Just wondering if there is much weight difference.

I seem to remember that someone said the cup alloy is lighter although I haven't seen the weights quoted. The cup alloys are fairly heavy...

Copied from a post on here:

Topics come up many times and these are the weight ranges I've seen quoted.
9-9.5kg for 200 wheels
10-10.5kg for 197's & Road spec Speedlines.
10-10.5Kg for the 8" Cup Speedlines - jacool has both 200 Cups and 8" Speedlines and says they are just over 10Kg and about 1Kg heavier than 200 Cups, which seems correct with the above.

I've 2 sets of 200 wheels for road and track as they are consistently quoted as being the lightest.
Think you need to splash out on OZ if you want to genuinely save some weight but it's a lot of dosh.
