197: waving acceleration / dynoprint thoughts..

First, i want that you look my old clio 197 dynoprint:



My current 197 feels kind of waving power output. When i accelerate lets say 3000rpm to 7000rpm i can feel that power output is not smooth. It kind of first goes and then lesser and again more power. Noise is same, and nothing weird but i can feel that it is not pulling 100% all the time. (Or is this just that "flat spot")

Maybe this is normal with early 197.. i dont know.
My old car seems to be same, if you look that curve.
I dont have any fault codes and i drive 98E petrol.

And here you have my previuous 200 Gordini with akrapovic dyno result.
You can see that power curve is much better and smoother.




Any opinions welcome.

This is going to sound really daft. But chances are the first graph hasn't been smoothed.

It's normal for Dyno operators to smooth the curve out so it looks nester.

Same dyno and same dynoman, and he also told me about that 197 curve is not smooth.
He does not do any smoothing for prints.
