197 v 200

Searching for a suitable '08> 197 (+Cup) for c.£8k+ or a 200 (+Cup) for £10k+.
 
OK making progress. How do 197/200 running costs compare?

Presume insurance, servicing a depreciation are broadly similar (subject to age/value), but how about Road Tax and Fuel Consumption?

And a lot of cars seem to have scuffed alloys - careless driving or poor design?

Not sure on road tax. Early 197's are very heavy on fuel, later one's less so, 200 gives best mpg. Poor driving re scuffed alloys.
 
Welcome to the site. My advice would be to get a 200 cup and you can't say I'm biased cause I actually own a 197. Go for the Gordini if you have the extra cash.
