197 Rain Sensor Fallen off Windscreen

So my auto wipers have never really worked since I bought my 197, the auto lights always have. So this morning I heard a rattle when going over a speed bump and found my sensor had detached itself from the windscreen.
It was upright still allowing the lights to work but obviously wknt help the wiper issue.
Tried sticking back with no luck, any tips and tricks to remount the sensor to the car? Or new gel pad from Renault? Cheers

The windscreen should have anchor points on the glass to hold the sensor to the glass have you got the right windscreen and is that part still attached to the glass and the sensor has a gel pad which you can get from eBay about £8 and needed when refitting the sensor after windscreen change but you might need to check the right windscreen is fitted and some cowboy has not just done a make-do job.

@turkie172 thanks for your reply, no i haven't got anything attached to the glass so that must be the issue! Will see if i can buy the attachment anywhere and get it sorted. Cheers

Consider getting the right windscreen if you don't have it I have windscreen insurance it costs about £80 to get it changed the fitting ring is bonded to the glass along with the mirror mount this is the best picture I could find.

@turkie172 I've just phoned my local Renault dealer and I've ordered the base with the adhesive backing so hopefully this resolves it.
