197 gearbox rebuild recommendations

Any recommendations as to who to use to get gearbox inspected and refurbished if needed, replacing the clutch so seems daft not too as slight crunching up the top end of the rev range 3-4 4th to 3rd etc don’t want to do the clutch and regret it as intend on doing a few track days

I had mine rebuilt at Rentune in Hinckley. Rich did a fantastic job.

All sorted now or will be next week , popping a quaiffe in while it’s apart and a pure motorsport clutch kit with lightened flywheel in just for good measure

I did the same. Shorter ratios 1-3 from a 200, short final drive from a scenic, blackline diff, pms flywheel.

Yes thanks all in hand to cut a long story short got a customer who comes in and runs a classic car restoration business spent his apprenticeship as a gearbox rebuilder as it happens , doesn’t do them normally but doing mine however hes the one who talked me into a quaiffe etc cat cams for the winter job I think too
