subframe subframes brace

Noticed the other day when working at the car, that I don’t have a party that’s meant to be bolted to the subframe. Is this needed? Whats it for? Is it just a brace? The part circled in the diagram. You can see it on the car with the liquid yellow bits and not on my car. edit: Is this a...
