Subframe Brace?

Noticed the other day when working at the car, that I don’t have a party that’s meant to be bolted to the subframe. Is this needed? Whats it for? Is it just a brace?

The part circled in the diagram. You can see it on the car with the liquid yellow bits and not on my car.

edit: Is this a replacement part? https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/2741075795...xNi_44gjG31ZLqcSwjKDEBeMwpVS65WhoCD94QAvD_BwE
Edit again: I see on their website that this goes further back

Most likely the bolt has sheered off and the part was not refitted the part your pointing out is the brace for the rear yellow part left of the axel stands in the picture above. It's a very heavy part that braces the subframe and the part has one bolt downwards and you screw the second bolt upwards anybody should have that part that's breaking a Clio but maybe heavy to post but not impossible. The Clio cup cars have a brace plate that might do the same job with the subframe I have a picture of what you had found fitted. The plate your missing has a funny plate set inside the subframe make sure they are there and unbroken they sit inside the gap in the subframe and makes it easyier to fit the brace plate

My Clio has been missing the exact same part since I bought it. What are people’s thoughts on my options?

1. Don’t replace
2. Source the correct part
3. SWM brace (does it do anymore than the OEM brace)
