Powerflex Upper Gearbox Bushing Install- Stuck

Thank you, Turkie. Makes sense and looking forward to trying this if I get a chance tomorrow. Will post results for others that may find this useful in the future (if I can figure how to add photos properly) haha

Powerflex Upper Gearbox Bushing Install- Stuck

Ahh so that’s what it looks like. I just watched a video last night that shows you just need to pop it on the head. Seeing that and this picture makes sense. It’s from a non-RS but it all looks exactly the same.

Powerflex Upper Gearbox Bushing Install- Stuck

Is there a better way to get this bushing out? Either I remove the entire aluminum bracket or I try removing just the bracket and bushing? Any tips much appreciated.

Powerflex Upper Gearbox Bushing Install- Stuck

Guys I have no idea what’s going on with the photo uploading but it’s all over the damn place. Basically in the last post, the latter 2 photos show a bolt that is underneath the whole aluminum bracket that the upper gearbox sits on. It seems like this is keeping me from yanking it out. Is it...

Powerflex Upper Gearbox Bushing Install- Stuck

Hi everyone, Has anyone tried this particular install? It’s for the upper gearbox mount located beneath the battery and battery encasing. I have the gearbox raised with a piece of wood on the jack and I’ve been adjusting it up and down the entire time I’ve been toying with this. Anyway, I’ve...

    Decatted midpipe- plug and play?

Hi Steve, I appreciate the insight! “lambda foolers” okay good to know. Removing the cat there would be for performance gains, as I am eyeing these mild cams I’m looking to get my hands on. I live in Greece so from what I understand, there are emissions checks. I need to learn more, as...

    Decatted midpipe- plug and play?

Hi everyone, Been keeping an eye out for midpipes with only the resonator and no catalytic converter. For what it’s worth, I’ve had my eye on this one...

EU based alternatives to MS Custom Engineering port work?

Hi everyone, I’ve always marveled at the work that MS Custom Engineering does as far as porting. Being in Greece, you will pay an arm and a leg, so I’ve pretty much ruled them out unfortunately due to the exorbitant duties and fees I’d pay. Does anyone know a company that works solely with...

    Xtreme Motorsport Aluminum (inium) Radiator

Hey guys- really appreciate y’all’s comments. Frank: Yeah, that’s what I was thinking (hoping), too. This one is 80 mm taller and 50 mm thicker than the OE radiator but I’m fine if I can shimmy it in there. Thanks- didn’t know we didn’t have a purge on the OE radiator, good to know. Also...

    Xtreme Motorsport Aluminum (inium) Radiator

Hi all, Browsing through Black Friday deals as the capitalist sucker that I am and came across this behemoth. Decent price, too. Has anyone installed this? Might be some slight fitment issues to wiggle in, but in installing this, will it throw any codes or faults? My ChatGPT friend...

    The, “what is this?” thread

Hey everyone, What dis do? Exploring the underbelly of my car and cleaning off all of the black tar accumulation (as if the previous owner parked this in a cauldron of dinosaur oil). Thinking of taking this off for a nice little clean. Ok to do? Have the car up on a set of ramps currently...

    Hard to select gears

Even with heavier weight oil? I’m not sure how to make sense of that. Not doubting you, I just don’t understand how it wouldn’t “pad” the gears just a bit more. I just drove once with the new stuff; admittedly with hotter weather, so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes long term. I feel a...

    Hard to select gears

So basically, as soon as you add new synchros, they can go bad almost instantly once you start driving? Haha So basically everyone is driving around with varying levels of shot synchros?

    Hard to select gears

Hi guys, still pretty new to Clios (I have a 197) but what’s up with the transmission in these things? Why is it that the synchros are so notoriously bad? I switched my gear oil to a thicker weight. MUCH smoother at lower RPMs but when going full throttle and shifting into 3rd and 4th, there’s...

Carbon Wing Mirror opinion- anyone have them?

An update. After some fitment issues (the stock screws that are used for the stock mirrors were too big for the carbon fiber ones), I managed to fit them to the Clio. The fit isn’t perfect. There’s a gap that extends outwards towards you that is visible from inside the car but not outside. The...

Carbon Wing Mirror opinion- anyone have them?

Finally received them after the courier damaged the first shipment. Hoping to install them this weekend. I’ll look up any DIY’s on here but any quick pointers or tips from anyone that’s removed the side-view mirrors before? Pretty straightforward?

Carbon Wing Mirror opinion- anyone have them?

Good stuff, Veiron. Despite the finish you mention the mirrors look really sharp IMO. I struggled to find examples so thanks for the images. I wound up buying the pair last night so once I get them installed, I’ll update with some pics. Back in the States I have an old E36 M3 and it has really...

Carbon Wing Mirror opinion- anyone have them?

Hi all, Had my eye on some carbon fiber (not wrapped) side view mirrors. They’re all of a sudden running a sale on these. Does anyone have them on or something similar...

    Clio 197 Wheel Arch Liners

For the Clio RS, 17 inch rims. The normal Clios that use the smaller rim size won’t fit. I mean, they will, but they will have gaps. I’m not sure up until what year but I assume it will fit all years for the Clio RS.
