    Best fuel 197

Have used V-Power last couple months after an issue using Tesco 99 RON (Contamination scare at my local Tesco couple month back) Changed back to Tesco stuff as its lots cheaper- have noticed it seems slightly "less sharp" at pulling away, and less sharp thru the rev range The car is generally...

197 Gearbox refurbed at AW Motorworks: Issues?

Might just be the words I use. Alex at AW has agreed it's coming from gearbox. Like a slight grating. Not particularly loud, but irritating. Specially when u just spent stackloads getting the box reconditioned.

197 Gearbox refurbed at AW Motorworks: Issues?

Good point RS Rowe. I should've said, no noise coasting in neutral, or when not moving, or when clutch is depressed. Happens using throttle or not, as in decelerating (approaching roundabout) in gear with foot off throttle.

197 Gearbox refurbed at AW Motorworks: Issues?

Tried getting video/ record the sound, but it doesnt relay very well. Just wind and every other engine sound is recorded. Sound happens above 20mph and below 70mph, usually 3rd and 4th gear, but is across all gears

197 Gearbox refurbed at AW Motorworks: Issues?

When I purchased my 197 a year ago, realised it had the 3rd gear crunch, so as i was gonna use for Track a fair bit, decided to get it done and have an LSD fitted too. Went to Alex at AW Motorworks in September as recommended on here, which cost a few quid as cars always do. mGreat, i thought...

Precisely the one I am looking at- nice Black friday offer, too Does it have a side, or top, carry handle. Cant see in the pics. Would prefer castor wheels on the front too- does the roller bar give u any hassle The weight is the biggest issue for me- so it looks good.

    Trolley Jack for 197- question

Quite a range of trolley jacks out there. My citeria is lightweight (To carry about at track, and I'm old lol), low profile entry, fastlift double piston, between 400-500mm lift height, decent long handle, castor wheels all round, etc etc It is nigh on impossible to get everything you want...
