    197 Cup Hillclimbing Car

Thought it was about time I provided another update on the progress with my Clio. As planned this winter the car has now been to Andy at Engine Dynamics for the Level 2 Performance Package which is essentially a cambelt change, uprated Piper Cams and a much needed re-map. As always with cars...

    197 Cup Hillclimbing Car

No it’s absolutely fine, the diffuser does a really good job of holding it in place and stops any air getting under it. I probably wouldn’t lean against it or anything but from a general perspective its fine and saves a good few kg’s.

Does anyone know where I could buy the necessary bolts / screws for attaching a KTR Clio 3RS Cup Style Rear Spoiler to the car? I recently bought one 2nd hand from a guy on another forum, the spoiler had never been fitted but when it arrived it didn't have the fixings for attaching it to the...

How to unlock car with flat battery

Ah right thanks. I was also wondering how people who had isolators fitted locked their cars. I presume the lock is behind the handle trim on the passenger side?

How to unlock car with flat battery

Hi, I might be missing something completely obvious but can anyone advise as to how you unlock and get into your car if your battery goes completely dead? I have a cup 197 which has the traditional key but there are no manual key locks on the outside of the door to use if all the electrics are...

    197 Cup Hillclimbing Car

The eye bolts that came with my harnesses were the same size thread as the thread in the door for the original seatbelt mount so they are just screwed in directly. I’ve taken some more pics to help show the fitting on the door side, tunnel and the ones at the rear of the seat mounts for the...

    197 Cup Hillclimbing Car

Cheers thanks. The shoulder straps run off the rear part of the cage. The lap straps run off some eye bolts through the centre tunnel and directly off the seatbelt mounting points on the door side. Some pics below. I can take better / other ones if you need them.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything as not much has happened over the winter. The car has been wrapped up in the garage as I always SORN the car over the winter which means it has not been driven since I picked it up after all the suspension work was done. It has been one long winter...

Finally got my car back today with all the parts fitted. Only had a short run in it back home as it was a bit wet today but really happy with how it feels so far and how it looks. Had the rear beam fully powder coated after the strengthening plates were welded on. Hopefully will get some dry...

    New 197 Cup owner

Here’s a quick guide. Can provide more details if needed but fairly straight forward once to work out once you have the parts to see how it all goes together. First I followed the ITG guide for fitting my new air filter as that shows how to remove the battey and it’s case...
