    Cheapest for timing belt? Scotland?

Couldn't agree more about your choice Palmer, Brian at rentec is a proper renaultsport boffin and a good lad, very professional crew and will not go anywhere else. I've now got a megane 250 cup with warranty and service plan but still use these guys.

Yes you're bang on there, totally forgot about that, I've had to replace my squib and it's not a cheap part.

    200 Cup Rack onto 197?

Good stuff, mind when re fitting the rack don't bolt it onto subframe but have it in place as the pinion that goes through the bulkhead takes a bit of fiddling, once it's in then bolt it up to frame. Also before you tighten the frame use a pinch and locate it correctly, push it back towards rear...

    200 Cup Rack onto 197?

lol, no bother mate. I think on a whole these should fit without any troubles, certainly think jam should go for the cup rack at the lesser cost, it fitted with my 197 without any issue what so ever, i do know that if your flexi brake hoses aren't fitted as they're meant to be they can rub on...

Strange, it's got me curious, did you fit the rack yourself or get a garage to fit it?

    200 Cup Rack onto 197?

Been thinking about this, maybe subframe position or rack position on the subframe? Or possibly too much toe out resulting In the hubs turning too far on the inside turn? They are identical in size so I can't see it being anything else, mines never touched at all with no spacers

    Magnetic sump plug

;-) You know what it's like, maybe a little more noise and better pad material but other than that .... I just want to fully detail it, rather spend my spare time keeping it it in best possible condition than tamper too much. Just don't go snooping on any megane forums as I may be eating my...

    Magnetic sump plug

At least once it's all done, you know the engine is prime for further progression. I sold the my clio, onto a megane 250. This one is hopefully going to remain fairly standard though.

Did you have an issue with the previous engine or you been busy doing a monster rebuild?

    Magnetic sump plug

Very valid point there matey lol, although it does bring into question the point in fitting one to the engine in the first place

    Magnetic sump plug

Never tried one but it makes sense, I do however wonder if with it collecting particles over a period of time, could lead to a buildup of them letting go through the motion of the oil itself, it could cause more harm than not having one fitted in there in the first place.

    200 Cup Rack onto 197?

I'm in scotland, rentec in edinburgh, the guys are spot on and I got a lot of other things done, subframe off, manifold fitted, rack fitted, braided hoses fitted, new handbrake cables, free'd off rear caliper, brake fluid change, tracking done, new steering column joint inside car fitted and...

    200 Cup Rack onto 197?

Alright mate, that's definitely right, I'm selling my clio and have all my receipts here in front of me, I've done the 200cup rack thing and yes it's cheaper, bought mine from fish brothers renault and I too was surprised by the cheaper price difference, they are identical, it's just the rack...

    Problems with CL pads

I've had major issues with the dust off the CL's, I spent a few weeks ago prepping and machine polishing all the damage out. I think they're best kept for serious track goers, my poor wee clio has become a bit of a shopping trolly and baby mobile lately lol.
