Happened to my 197 last year. Crunch going into 4th. Only cure is new box or fix the syncro. Had a warranty like you when got the car and had to pay £400 but the bill was over a grand so not too bad. The gearboxes are crap in these cars and I believe they are same box as used in all clios so...

Actually just looked at the advert again now and yes they are indeed different pads. Told the guy after I bought them that they're for a Clio 197 so guess he sent me the correct ones.

Really... I have them fitted on my Clio as we speak! The company sent the wrong disc, well the wrong bearing but replaced it. The pads looked identical to the ones I took off and as I said they are on my car now. I thought the megane 225 ran the same pads as the Clio 197?

Been in contact with the guy and he sent the wrong ones. Sent discs from an earlier megane 225. The rear disc change is quite an easy job but one thing I found a bit annoying is where to support the caliper after removing from the hub. Also the two 18mm bolts where a nightmare to get off!

Finally found rear discs and pads for a good price (£180) so will be changing soon. Owned the car for 6 months now and they needed doing when I got it so it's time! This has probably been covered loads of times but anything to look out for when changing? Any special tools needed? Replaced disc...
