I would have used stainless nuts and bolts for something under the car or at least cover them in cavity wax/underseal.

Water getting on the aluminium can give the white spots as you describe. Condensation is the main reason and driving the car infrequently makes it worse, so I guess your car is parked up for long periods and you do short journeys.

AMD are a well respected tuner in VAG circles and race a Leon. Have my servicing done there on my Fabia VRS as they much better value than the Dealers. Can't rate them high enough.

Very helpfull guys. A cheap 197cup or 200cup then. I do like the 200 Cup spoiler, I suppose you can fit them aftermarket wise. I don't think I can be fussy about having Recaros when price comes first. An insurance categorised Cup will help keep the price down I guess, something like this...
