I average around 30mpg in mine, does spoil the car to some extent and certainly won't help residuals. :( I've considered getting a cheap car to run along side the Clio, diesel Lupo or G1 Insight, but then I think if I was to do that, I'd rather change the Clio for something a bit more...

Doesn't it depend on what type of finance you have... If it's a Loan then it's your money to do with as you wish, if it's a Hire Purchase agreement then technically you don't own the Clio until you've made the final payment. I can't see them offering to change the finance over for free, but it...

If they're Renault Exhaust tips I wouldn't use a scouring pad, you'll just damage the finish. The Renault Tips are Chromed steel, so you'll either end up with fine scratches or take the finish off completely. I'd use Machine Cleaner, then Tar Remover, then Autosol. Use a microfibre...

To add, I think there is a certain subtlety of the Clio particularly the 197, which other Hot Hatches lack. Get a standard one, without any stick on bits and I think most people don't realise they're much different from a regular Clio.

What's the mileage? Probably depends how it's driven, if you drive it in the higher rev bands most of the time, you'll likely consume more oil. Most engines do use a bit of oil, I'd be concerned if it was excessive. I'd hope, given how new Clio 197s are that none of them are burning oil...
