    Dumdums RS200 cup

The atmosphere in the workshop at work is a bit nice at the minute, I’m leaving the heaters on full welly overnight to dry the lacquer, got some runs on the second rim in the centre between the spokes and ironically the same rim the can of lacquer developed a drip...

    Immobiliser issue, car won’t start..

I agree we need more input... My thinking... if it was a dying sensor it wouldn’t have fired up initially on jumper cables if it was a sensor issue as the sensor doesn’t effect starter turning over, battery does... And once a battery properly dies it will sap any current from jumping vehicle...

Track day tyre wear - Overinflated?

Yes I could see that from the original picture, it’s hard cornering and deformation of the tread blocks that does it, so it’s pretty much as I said, it’s more noticeable when tyres are newer as the tread is taller and deforms more

Track day tyre wear - Overinflated?

As long as tread wear is even across the tyre that’s just something you have to accept in trackdays and yes it will kill tyres mega quick but it’s one of those things Measure the depths from peak to trough of the tread all the way across and generally you’ll have a little less on the left hand...

    Immobiliser issue, car won’t start..

It doesn’t even turn over so testing like that won’t work sadly, a stand in battery would be my first test :thumb:

    Painting Gordini Wheels?

Yes, of course it is possible, I reckon on 2-3hrs a rim plus 1 500ml can of primer per rim to get them ready to receive paint then a few hrs to lay them up with paint and let them dry and then just an hr or two for coats of lacquer

    Immobiliser issue, car won’t start..

A knackered battery will look fully charged on a battery charger as the battery charger isn’t a battery tester proper I’d try a new/different battery before anything else The fact it needs a charger says something is massively wrong

    Rear end wobble

I didn’t mean you were a mechanic, I was speaking from experience... as in I am a mechanic It’s still hard to pick up what you mean, is it a bit bouncy like your on rough ground... surely the mechanics would tell you if there was something actually up? Yes lowered cars do feel a bit bouncy at...

    Rear end wobble

Without driving it it’s very hard to say, when lowered a car will tend to bump steer to a degree, which could be why your speaking of, although it’s not the rear of the car that does it As for four wheel alignment, it can check the rear of the car but adjustment is done with shims and not easy...
