    Joe's LY Clio 200

Haven't got that far unfortunately mate, MOT is end of September so still got time to think. Swap it out every MOT using the car lift in the garage or find a friendly MOT tester are the options. The Mother is not happy at all though with this modification...

    Joe's LY Clio 200

2 mile drive to work and the odd sensible hoon shouldn't do the ears too much harm  will the 70mph drone be horrible now?

    Joe's LY Clio 200

So yeah, this is happening, going full decat. System will be = toyo manifold, scorpion non res backbox with a scorpion decat. Going back up to Andy at Engine Dynamics on the 11th of May to get it mapped again. He may add some overrun pops and crackles, very marmite I know but I'm going for it...

    Joe's LY Clio 200

I got some tooth floss and gently flossed behind the RS badge, but as close to the badge as possible to stop any scratches on the paint work, then used some white spirits on a cloth to wipe off the sticky residue left behind. Then next time I washed the car I polished that section more thorough...

Yes very true, his first car was a mk1 astra GTE so I'm sure he'll understand where I am coming from, but a bollocking will still come my way.

I have noticed, as I'm sure this is the case with others, but driving a "sporty" or "boy racer" car, other road users do like to entice a race situation, coming back from my remap last month I had a group of lads in an Audi S5 driving next to me around the M25 not overtaking, just sitting there...

This has been a massive eye opener and I want to thank everyone who has replied. Very wise words from people with experience of being a young boy racer on the roads has been very handy. Will definitely look at booking a novice track day this summer. I don't disvalue your opinion what so ever...

Cheers Suj, I'd rather ask and learn than keep being silly on the roads. Honestly, as bad as it sounds, I used to view trackdays as a complete waste of money as it was only a bit of cornered off tarmac which you could race around on, same as a normal A/B road just with other people, which is so...

It was scary that's why I made the post. So just tone it down a little? They're not like near head on collisions or anything proper horrendous, I do feel like I am just digging myself to look like a right pr*ck now.

Would you recommend track day insurance? Getting an instructor for a few laps? I'm from Surrey so not sure what is the closest track. If I wasn't going to listen I wouldn't have asked mate, trying to better my driving so came onto here to ask some other enthusiasts for advice. This is my second...

Hi all, I enjoy the odd hoon every now and then in my 200, however almost every time in the last 2 weeks I have always had a close call with another car or I drift wide on a tighter country lane. I am not trying to dob myself in as a pr*ck on the road, but I wanna enjoy my car properly and...

New to the forum just got a Black 197

Welcome buddy, I have a toyo manifold and a non-res scorpion back box, sounds bonkers when pushed above 4000rpm, quite drony at 70mph but if you want something that pops and gurgles on upshifts then that's my recommendation! Enjoy the forum.

    A Bit Overpriced?

Couldn't agree more, I've had my 200 for 8 months now and only seen one 197 and one 200. Every other spirited drive I see at least one ST or golf R, that's what attracts me to a clio.

Glad to see Andy has worked his magic on your car as well :drunk:
