    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

    Yeah I know, I think any car manufactured after 2000 needs one fitted, heard stories of mass cars being DQ because of this so not going to risk it. Christ, might need a few adverts for when the knocking starts…

    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

    Taking advantage of the new unit I have been able to get a few hours here and there over the past few weeks. First up was main seal, once on the crane I used a £10 piece of Perspex tubing which worked great in getting the seal to sit straight, left it about 2mm out as per the original...

    I have found this where Renault recommend rotating the connector 20 degrees in the R3, hard to visualise but I assume this gives a tiny bit more clearance to the engine.

    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

    Yeah that would make sense but all the aftermarket springs recommend ~30kg seat (super tech/cat cams) to get correct pressure at lift which equals around 34mm installed height the problem is stock is around 35.5 so you are close to 3mm off. This would all make sense to me if the collet was 1.2mm...

    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

    Yep, thanks again mate. Got the cup speedlines but it is crying out for something more aggressive, I think I would only upgrade to something 8J but then want to keep the ET which limits options..

    CNC parts ideas

    Yeah I spaced mine further by placing a few washers above the overpriced threaded washer, you can improve the angle as well by only spacing the two closest to the wheel.

    Cheers, yeah I was in a similar position, I opted for a rivnut on the left and a ali L bracket in the engine mount bolt.

    Had some time off this month so lots of catching up to do on this thread. First up is the addition of Piper Cams supporting the rebuild! Really excited to get them on board, after approaching Lee earlier this year he mentioned that they were working on a 403 style billet cam and looking for...

    What’s your plan? My concern is creating something that then shorts on the manifold / heat shield, RT125 epoxy is used in harnesses which might be an option to create something that shields and protects

    Cup Racer EE Brackets & Roll Centre Correction - The Numbers...

    Great write up, in my rather limited testing I would agree with everything here, interestingly the percentage improvement in times was about equivalent. It’s just a shame it costs so much, I do wonder if similar improvements could be possible with a tubular subframe / RC correction. Overall the...

    Got the block and head back from AMS last month, done a great job on the following: Hone / new piston jets (galleries unblocked) New guides Seats cut Valves lapped Crankshaft polish Crankshaft balance (0.25g) After 10 years of abuse the block was in a bad way so went through the process of...

    I have the sadev racer quick release, it looks the business but is certainly a huge waste of money as I never take it off unless removing the dash..

    Yellow

    I wouldn’t start messing with racing bearings, depends on the brand but many have looser clearances designed for the higher output, for example I think ACL come in at about double standard, unless you are prepared for a BTTC ST style start up procedure I would stay away! In an ideal world the...
