    **Clio 197/200 Race Car Build**

I thought that 3,5bar pump should cope with around 250hp made by R3 Maxi Evo. Thanks anyway

    **Clio 197/200 Race Car Build**

out of curiosity - What for? Both Clio Cup and Clio R3 Maxi run the same in-tank fuel pump (80 lph) with built-in 3,5bar pressure regulator. Why do You guys want to change it? Is there sth wrong with stock fuel pressure (especially when aiming in 220 bhp figure)?

    Old Gits LY.....now under conversion

X85 Cup motorsport EPAS needs CAN communication as well as road car's - I've learned it the hard way. I've bought polish standalone EcuMaster EMU with CAN-bus module and found a guy with stock clio 200 willing to come by to EcuMaster for CAN decoding. EcuMaster at my request added to their ECU...

    Flacsi's Racing Red 197

If You properly tighten the waist belt (the way You are barely able to fasten it) then the buckle won't move up. And again, Your shoulder strap should be tightened to that extent that You're barely able to breath. But even then there is some risk that in case of frontal impact You're body would...

    Quick shift mod

Yes it does, and havy duty cables (with uniball ends to replace original plastic) alone can cost few hundred EUR from what i've researched. You can also buy a sequential shifter for H pattern box but its 1500+ EUR. TBH I still not sure if it's worth it. If I didn't spent all that money on...

    Quick shift mod

From local Renault dealership here in Poland. Just give them a part number, but for the price (on top of that You have to add paint job as well) i wouldn't bother again, just took a CF one.

    Quick shift mod

Why don't You order one directly from renault like I did. Just give them a part number and they should get one for You (eventually - it usually takes few weeks) It costs about 300 EUR + VAT. You can also order a copy made of carbon fibre for about the same price (french company - mcracing).

Gripper also makes 5.0 FD -> http://www.tomson.com.pl/product-eng-1449-Gripper-Diffs-final-drive-Renault-Clio-3-Sport-5-00.html I have Quaife ATB diff. At the time my car was a daily so prefered ATB over plate diff. How I find it? hard to tell, I didn't have time to test it really. But have to...

    Quick shift mod

Exactly, stock shifter travel is OK, no need for shortening, especially keeping in mind weak synchros - on the other hand rebuilding them is quite cheap so no problem for a dedicated track car. But extend your shifter to have it closer to the steering, that's another pair of shoes. As for me...

    Quick shift mod

great find, I was looking for sth like this a while back along with redesigning original shifter but now considering CAE shifter instead (damn they're pricey) - since I have complete interior from Clio Cup race car I need to move shifter closer to the wheel, otherwise it interferes with control...

    Lowering steering wheel

Steering column is bolted to the bar under the dashboard (it is held by 4 bolts). You can add some spacers. Race cars don't have that bar, steering column is bolted in a same manner but directly to the cage. In such case mounting points are much lower than in a road car hence the steering position.

    197/200 Racer engines

Cup raceres also have slightly different inlet manifold to match cable throttle body and arp con-rod bolts, they're blueprinted as well.

    Who's using Cup Racer / R3 bits?

hahaha, I knew it will end up this way, it always does (at least for me). Type-r engine and Clio Cup chassis - that would be a weapon. (although have to say that with Cup intake, exhaust and shrick cams F4R sounds mental with idle set to 1400 rpm

    Who's using Cup Racer / R3 bits?

Maybe I didn't make myself clear - english is not my native language. As for longer drive shafts and lock issue, it may be a problem on a road car. Last saturday i had a first drive with my car after many months of build and was trying to make a U-turn in a tight roundabout... and failed. There...

    Who's using Cup Racer / R3 bits?

No, what You're saying is point E' position between OEM and Cup setup makes the difference in track since pivot is set at a different angle (yellow vs red line; PS. doesn't it affect upper ball-joint being placed at a different angle in the pivot holder, possibly putting more stress on the part...

    Who's using Cup Racer / R3 bits?

I know the difference between perfohub/revoknuckle and McP, but its irrelevant in this case. Consider two setups being the same in every aspect except lower hub to wishbone mounting point (in setup #2- on the right, mounting point is moved to the right compered to the setup #1). If wishbone have...
