If it's the bottom swivel on a 197, they're £200 from Renault and are part of a large casting, just had to wait 3 weeks for one. The swivel is available for around £20, but you apparently need to heat up the casting and need a press to get the swivel out. Ian.

Clio hand brakes aren't the most powerful, have you tried driving the car with the hand brake slightly applied to help bed them in, obviously, don't drive for miles with the handbrake on! My BMW330 manual recommended this after fitting new shoes/pads.

The bottom swivel on what I know know Renault call a stub axle assy on my wife's car is knackered. These are £200 from Renault. Apparently they're a bit of a bugger to fit, I've been advised to use a ramp. Any body here swapped them?? Cheers, Ianboom.

I'm oldish, sorry! I'm 43. Looking back, I'd buy a cheap 182 and save for a house!! Or at least save for a 197 and then save for a house!! I can afford a new 200 (I actually did buy one) but now run a 2003 TT V6 and the wife has just bought a 197. I like my cars, but spend the extra cash...
