    Flat spot and re-mapping

Thanks. Yes you're right I have spent a bit on the car and I've not even had it a month yet. The more I drive it the more I'm finding. I won't give up on it it's just my original list of things to do is getting pushed further and further back! Mechanical first, cosmetics second.

    Flat spot and re-mapping

Thanks. Kind of what I was thinking but I just need to hear it from people who have been in the same position. I really love the car as a toy but when it comes to driving normally it actually pisses me off a bit because it isn't that kind of car. Thanks again, I think I've made my mind up

    Flat spot and re-mapping

Yes I know, another flat spot thread. I know this is common and I have searched the forum high and low and just seem to have a mixed view on this. Right, I bought the car with a K&N panel filter and a Miltek non-res cat back exhaust system. Both cats still in place and to my knowledge still on...

My Liquid Yellow R27 progress #172

Well I first went to a local trimmer but his ideas didn't sit well with me. I phoned Recaro to see who did theirs so I could get the correct fabric and to know it would be a good job and they put me on to Capital Seating. Lee has been very helpful and the price was better than my local guy. I'll...

Quick update. AC compressor, aux belt, cambelt and water pump now fitted. AC blows ice cold and I have peace of mind with the belts and water pump. Collected the front subframe/radiator support bracket (still don't know it's proper name) and all the fixings brand new from my local Renault...

Corroded subframe / radiator support bracket

Cheers for your help and advice guys, I collected my brand new frame and fixings from my local Renault dealer this morning. Pics and part numbers for anyone who's interested. £209.69 for the lot inc vat

Corroded subframe / radiator support bracket

Oh brilliant, that's not bad actually. Did you have the same problem?

Corroded subframe / radiator support bracket

That's helpful, cheers for that. I'll have a look to see if I can find it on there, if not I'll pop into my local dealer, may be worth getting a price on a new one anyway. It's just hard to get a photo of it because the undertray covers it and I don't have access to a ramp so just want to double...

Corroded subframe / radiator support bracket

My front subframe / radiator support bracket is heavily corroded and needs replacing, one of the bolt holes for the undertray is non-existent and any more poking around will make it worse. Does anyone know the correct name for this part and if it's the same for all Clio models or is it 197/200...

    Hello all!

Welcome mate, I thought about an ST225 but the same as you, decided the Clio is way more fun!

    Popped back to say hi

I recognise that drive, I go past that most days!! Kept seeing the white ST on the grass when I go up the hill. Nice!

Cheers for the stickers @Nik , looking good with the Liquid Yellow! I've recently become a paid member too. New Continentals went on the other day along with a fresh MOT. Air Con compressor has arrived so Monday I'm having that fitted along with a new aux belt, cambelt kit and water pump...

Thanks for that, wasn't sure how these were printed/sent. I appreciate it's not worth printing just 2 and sending them out! Just wanted to represent the family! Cheers

Yeah the more I drive it the more I realise it's quite a special car. I've had normal clios in the past and it's like RenaultSport took a Clio, threw most of it away and rebuilt it. Such a well put together car. I don't mind putting a bit of money in the right places as I think it's a car for...

Thanks. I've had the car just over a week and I've steamed into all the work so quickly so the cost has been a shock! I know that once this has all been done it will be a tip top car. Don't see the point in doing things half-arsed. I think this cars going to be a keeper!

Bit more progress. Took it for MOT and service today, MOT not a problem. Re-gassed the air con and turns out the pump's had it so need to find one of those. But the worst bit and it's pissed me off a little bit to be honest, I happily bought the car knowing the cam belt had been done recently...

Plans as above, mainly tidying it up. I'll get on with those grilles at the weekend and let you know how they come up if you're interested in them
