they're that optimistic are they? I phoned a local VW/Audi tuning specialist just because he's in the same town and I took my Golf GTI there years ago. Surprised at the reply he said "you should have kept the Golf, well I suppose Renaults are a bit better than they used to be, nah I wouldn't...

As long as it's mapped right I don't care too much about BHP! I take those figures with a pinch of salt, as long as it is better across the rev range and gets rid of that flat spot, which he's promised, I'll be happy!

Thank you, yes I know but ktec is closer and a bit of a better drive. I was surprised they weren't mentioned as a go-to place for this, the 3 that were mentioned were RS Tuning, EFI and Engine Dynamics. Is there a reason for this or do I not want to know now?!!

The steering wheel won't like grubby hands either! Must be careful. My job for the weekend is check all exhaust joints and seal (I know one is blowing slightly), re-hang rear boxes as they're slightly wonky, then I'll know if the flexi is blowing at all. If I do replace I think I'll replace...

Gave the interior a good clean yesterday as the weathers been hot. The seats and mats were filthy! Always like to do this when I get a car but hadn't got round to it. Just need those bolsters repaired then the interiors done for now. Also, the KTR induction kit arrived yesterday so I fitted...

    Wrist watch check...

Haha cheers, well it wasn't a case of one or the other more a matter of time! As a new Clio owner I didn't realise some of the costs involved! Wouldn't have it any other way though, love this little car

    Any Bikers Out There?

Glad to see a few bikers on here then! I was about to start a thread but then I saw this one so here's mine! 2014 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. ZX6R track bike in the shed too. Ashamed to say I haven't been near this since I bought the car though, must get back out on it!

Well this isn't making my decision easy... my wheel is much thicker than standard and when I offered up the old trim there's no way the 2 halves would meet. It will take a bit of filing to get it to go on

Thanks mate, appreciate the heads up. To be honest it really doesn't look bad without it and I would be absolutely gutted if I marked or damaged the wheel

Haha no it did have axle stands too but just left the jack by the jacking point as it wasn't in the way! I've seen photos with the trim in place and it does look better in my opinion. I think I'll get one anyway and try it

The gear knob was on the car when I got it, yes it does feel much heavier and I do like it. I didn't realise how heavy it was til I took it off to fit the gaiter!

Thanks mate. The plates were just off eBay, Autostyle I think was the company. Reflective, correct font and spacing, fully legal and look good.

I haven't felt or seen the sabelt wheel in person, I bet it is nice. I do quite like the chunkier feel and slightly padded feel of the new re-trimmed wheel but all I've got to compare it to is a tired, peeling standard wheel so it's going to feel great compared to that. Happy with price and...

Steering wheel, gear gaiter and decat fitted this evening. Unfortunately the RenaultSport plastic trim on the bottom of the steering wheel broke when I removed it so I'll get another one. Took it for a drive and what a difference this has all made! The steering wheel feels so much better and the...

Today was a good day. New front subframe / radiator support bracket fitted, and by the sound of it was an easy job. And these lovely goodies turned up... Steering wheel and gear gaiter by Royal Steering Wheels in 9002 dark grey alcantara with yellow stitching and yellow centre stripe...
