Albi Blue 200 >> BMW E46 Track Car

lol, I wondered if anyone would pick up that I said that!!! But yeah indeed, I bought a brand new F54 Clubman S just before xmas for my pimp new daily, and I love turbo noises!! lol. This thing drives like an NA in terms of being absolutely zero lag, decent response and so linear etc. (and yeah...

Albi Blue 200 >> BMW E46 Track Car

Not seen this since having the yellow additions - looks properly good mate. Calipers to go yellow next? If that's a meg engine, good choice, boost is the way forward!

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Not sure it qualifies as 'progress', but I bought some stuff! Also took a few pics of the metal TRW slave which I thought would be useful. It feels nice and weighty, more substantial than the oem plastic Renault one - so I'll hang on to it for if (ok, when! :() the box is next off...

    Aircon delete

AP Motorsport have it on their site, price is about right for all that's included. I paid £300 for my racer stuff (bracket, bolts and alternator). However bolts, alternator, tensioner and belt, you can actually use what you have now (as I have done), if you can try to haggle them down and buy...

    Help with fuel system

I already told you, the pressure regulator is in the fuel sender unit in the tank - it's a returnless system, so single line out from tank. Just speak to the professionals, without being rude you don't sound like you should be doing this job. Mitch @Pro-Line Motorsport is the chap you want.

    Fuel lines

Back of the inlet, yeah they ain't fuel! :) 1 is the brake booster & the other carbon canister.

    Fuel lines

Fuel solenoid.... can't say I've come across one yet on these, but usually in a road car it's for roll over protection to shut off the fuel supply. Upgrading the fuel system in mine is an imminently pending job, so for now I haven't had it all apart from tank to rail. However @Stephenvenning...

What db are people's exhaust and setups??

all depends how loud the rear setup is on the PMS I guess, but yeah given my experience with the Akra (which is by and large considered one of the quieter systems I believe), then I would say at least a centre silencer and potentially a sports cat too even. As I can't see my R3 manifold being...

    Alloy radiator

intercooler, pah!! I need it for ITB space my friend  no pics yet, when they're back on the 17th I'm hoping to get the remaining stuff ordered to finally get the car mobile again. I'll let you know when I get one in my possession. edit: sorry just seen that wasn't my post you were...

What db are people's exhaust and setups??

Probably get booted off Bedford tbh with a decat mani, decat system and non-res! I run an R3 manifold and Akrapovic and got booted off. Static was like 93 or something :( I used to run with the R3 and fully decated and non-res Supersprint, that thing was 97dB static iirc, and was insanely...

    Alloy radiator

Pure Motorsport will very soon have one, it's smaller in physical measurements but with a thicker core. I'm hoping to get one asap!!

    Fuel lines

Standard fuel line setup is a returnless, so only single line from the fuel pump sender unit. The pressure reg is located at the bottom of that unit, and bleeds excess fuel directly back in the tank so there is no return line.

    Fast road setup- wider track

Wheel track is measured from centre points of the tyres, so going to 8" from 7.5" will not change the track. Changing the track is altering offsets/adding spacers to physically distance the wheel centres. Personally I run 2 sets of standard 7.5" 200 Cup wheels as they're cheap and lighter than...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

It's a TRW PJQ192 - I bought it from AutoDoc for about £70, though I've just got an email to say it won't be here til Monday, turns out AutoDoc.co.uk are bloody German! So I've had to order from RPD and hope it'll be here on Friday, as I need to get the car to the garage first thing Sat...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Cheers, I've probably said it before but when you're balls deep there's no turning back! Think it was Raptor who summed it up best, 'married to the car' :coldsweat: Successfully picked the engine up from Ashford on the weekend, good to finally have a bloody engine again. It's ready to drop in...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

that's nuts then! a/c delete was all I need all this time then :confounded: sweet, I think best when paired with the 1-3 ratios from either of the 197 boxes. & the 024 should be a bit more civilised than my 003 when cruising. I didn't get a Trophy in the end, the LY 220 I had my eye on had...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yeah that does seem a lot, I would have thought maybe 3 or 4bhp at the flywheel, so that graph is what about 10bhp @ fly?! Is it back to back on the same day, same strapping down on the rollers etc? I've got a Cup Racer a/c delete kit to pick up, I decided mostly for the space/weight saving...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

403's are not lumpy at all, they idled like stock which in fact disappointed me greatly!! They are still designed to work on stock pistons and aren't an aggressive cam. Iirc is the 404 has the biggest jump in specs between any 2 neighbouring cam profiles in the range, think it was the...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yeah I'll be running a new relay and feed to the fuel pump directly from the Delta, avoiding any of the Renault wiring and UCH. Most likely a new pump (mk4 R3T), new -6 lines and a Radium FPD just before the rail. I'm thinking return-less still tbh. Jase, thanks for the support, however that's...
