LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Figured out the issue with the SCS -> AiM comms, by opening a saved copy of my last map I can see that the CAN2 comms are not set for an AiM. So as soon as I get on to the ECU again I can click a few buttons and fingers crossed! Hopefully it won't mess with the CAN stuff for the Renault dash...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yeah will do, I'll probably do a day on them and see how they fare. But I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and just knowing they've sat with low pressure triggers my anxiety!!! (oh, and I still want a Duke more than the Clio!!! lol)

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Home once again and yes it does look awesome! Starting to compile a list now of things needed to get it ready for mapping, will start to tick them off one by one when I get chance to work on it. Which unfortunately is not very often as I only get every other weekend (kids!) and then at the...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yeah along with the slit right across the nose should be fine for air, although on the left side from factory there is a weird little tab that half obscures that side (where the OE air feed is) - I'll cut that off as I think that was left on. If I'm honest the ITB's were a justification to make...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Haha this forum is definitely missing a dislike button! It'll be mapped at Track N Road by Steve Greenald and his dyno is of the no BS variety. Still it's 99% done and now needs paying for (paypal donations welcome!) only thing is need to fit the airfilter back on, and possibly change the...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Oh god how much on the dyno ... I don’t know if I can take that sort of stress! :coldsweat: Well it’s obviously gone down to standard compression compared with the last engine, but it was knock limited before so I would think the map can pick up a little bit of timing to compensate - the net...

Indeed! Looks all pretty slick in the pics too, hopefully be down to check it out and book mapping before long.

Some progress pics, & loom day now on Friday. Oil cooler with additional diverter on to the Pure rad shrouding: Custom battery and catch tank setup - done a top job. (Which the quality isn't the issue, just the time). Can see the -20 progold line for the rad too! Also got the Pure top...

Prefer the older one and would suit the budget better no doubt. I'm debating whether to get a Grom too/first - I've never ridden properly but something I've always wanted and lusted after bikes, so this year I AM doing my test! Not sure if a Grom would be something to have a laugh on and get to...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Well it's been 9 months now and was only really; fuel pump/line, oil cooler/lines, loom, data logger, throttle pedal, some bumper/bonnet catches, battery tray, and then later on added in the water lines/header tank to the list. There's been a lot of delays and I know how many days it would have...

Err car doesn't turn over, probably a loom/immob issue. Probably just going to break it as soon as its back frankly.

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Indeed! I'm promised this coming week it will be done, leaving only an MOT and mapping to sort. There should be nothing out standing now from a hardware perspective. Oh I ended up going for a new expansion tank with matching ProGold lines to/from. I'm somewhat at a loss as to how it's been best...

Aliengreen 200 and Cup-Racer from Germany

The R3 Maxi engine (230hp) internally also has bigger cams (298in/292ex duration and 11mm lift), high comp 12:1 pistons, and Meg 230 injectors. There is also an R3 Maxi Evo (250hp) which has bigger cams again (not sure on duration but will also be 11mm lift due to regs), different crank (90mm...

Getting there :) Loom is fitted, has the bits I wanted too with DBW etc (I'm such a worrier!). And on some spare pins it's been setup for a sequential box and display too apparently, just in case I ever get the urge to make it a rhd Cup Racer on steroids!! Got a work in progress pic and there...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

I'm quite apprehensive about getting it back if I'm honest, I was all excited 4 months ago, but now I've got 4 months of nagging doubt and 2nd guessing that's built up on me now - not to mention if things aren't quite how I want. Yeah in essence I have had the factory loom and SCS adapter...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Caution there is some progress looming here.... I saw some Clio loom shots from the place doing my loom, should be mapped this coming week too :coldsweat: .... (and yeah shocking pun I know!)

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Ah so I'm not the only one who thinks this, we all know you pay a premium for this sort of thing but I think Lotus have been beyond taking the piss with how they've been milking all these new and so called special editions. I love Lotus and really wish I'd have bought an Evora over wasting so...

Yes and isn't the definition of insanity trying the same thing and expecting a different result!!!!

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yep indeed! And were basically at the end of the nice weather too so I could have actually been working on the car myself in this time which is the hugley frustrating thing! Could have shaved a few weeks and saved some money off things :( More than a little dejected again atm, but just have to...
