    My new race car.

Must admit we struggled with the Trofeos, we had previously used nankang. They seem very soft side walls compared to the nankang,we ended up running around 38psi hot at the front. At the 30-32psi max recommended by pirelli they were almost coming off the rims.

    My new race car.

Would it not be beneficial to set the car up on the Pirelli's from the start ?

    My new race car.

We came to the conclusion that we had actually selected the wrong vehicle to use for TA. In 2015 it was a NA group - ideal for the Clio but even then they allowed a modified diesel in the group at Rockingham. In 2016 it was open to turbo cars. I guess it's not easy to group different cars. Some...

    My new race car.

I would agree regarding battery location, the standalone ecu will give you some benefit over standard ecu remapped, what about trim, door cards, carpet and cat ? When we fitted a rear cage we asked Simon if it was ok to remove the rear trim, he checked with Mike and said it was ok. Each time it...

    My new race car.

Can you run standalone ecu in clubman ? Theres also trim / carpet required and a cat, the battery also needs to be in its original location It will be interesting to see the times of another Clio in TA Trofeos turned out to be a decent tyre but not at the pressures recommended by pirelli We...

    200 Tow strap bolt

That makes the shank about 165mm, I'm sure the one I made was either a 165mm or 170mm shank Should work a treat I trimmed the bottom edge off the tow eye cover allowing the strap to sit vertically

Hard track driving vibrations through brake pedal

Cracked pads is pretty common after hard track use My personal choice would be RS29 but they don't come cheap, DS1.11 would probably be my second choice. Just make sure you bed them in as per the manufacturers instructions.

Hard track driving vibrations through brake pedal

We tried XP10's and they were ok until on one occasion at a wet Oulton Chris locked a front and guess what - mega brake vibration, only option was to skim the disks. We fitted DS1.11 after that. The only pad we have used long term that hasn't given any issues is the RS29.

Hard track driving vibrations through brake pedal

I would say Pagid RS29 but they ain't cheap or try Ferodo DS1.11
