    Rattley bonnet.

Do you mean tighten the entire unit or is there adjustment that can be tightened for the hook part?

    Rattley bonnet.

I’ve noticed my connect is quite rattley in when closed. I had a look at the bonnet stops but they don’t seem adjustable (maybe I’m missing something). Do I just replace them or is it a latch issue? Cheers

    Crank sensor connector

Right we have a fix. Rang k-tec to see if they could help. They explained that Renault are not only discontinuing the parts but are deleting the part numbers off there database. The only solution is a breakers yard. So just to add to the misery of all this seems like they’re is 4 or 5 connectors...

    Crank sensor connector

So I’ve found a connecter for a number plate light off a Dacia. Hopefully it’ll fit.

    Crank sensor connector

Here is the connecter I need, Renault don’t supply a part anymore and the dealer can’t find a part number. My only hope is maybe a complete engine loom at this stage but I find it hard to believe that this connect was only fitted to post 2011 clio 200 and nothing else!!

    Crank sensor connector

There was a change at some point in the 200’s life cycle to a different crank sensor with a completely different connector. Can take a picture of the connector as it’s too awkward. Here’s the sensor.

    Crank sensor connector

So looking at the image, that connected doesn’t look like it will fit my sensor. I know there is two deferent type of sensors, my one is part number 8200746509.

    Crank sensor connector

Ya we’ve checked the ecu end. Seems as if the connecter is corroded and the wire is black half way up.

    Crank sensor connector

Exactly, I’ve replaced the sensor with a genuine one. But it seems water has gotten into the loom and connecter so it needs to be replaced..

    Crank sensor connector

Water has gotten into the crank sensor/loom on my 2011 200. Has anyone ever replaced the connector for the crank sensor, if so where did you source an OEM one. Asked renault and they hadn’t a clue what I was talking about, strange as other OEMs supply connects.

    Crank sensor part number check.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll see if they’ll take it back.

    Crank sensor part number check.

My car is cutting out once it gets hot. Did a bit of research and seems a crank sensor could be at fault. Bought a new genuine sensor off Renault parts directs. Once I pull the old one off they seem like different parts. Old one is stamped 8200746509-B new one says 8200513668-C both are stamped...

Strange issue when revving under load.

Just to close this out incase anyone is wondering. The car was due a timing belt etc. once that was done the problem disappeared. My mechanics prognosis is that the dephaser must have gone bad causing a misfire/timing issue at the top end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strange issue when revving under load.

Is there a way of testing the crank or lambda? Or do I just take the hit and buy both? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strange issue when revving under load.

I haven’t noticed any change, it comes up to temp and then does that classic clio thing of moving slightly below middle on the gauge and then back up. Temp sensor and thermostat where done maybe 4 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strange issue when revving under load.

So i decided to disconnect the sprint booster today. While taking it out I discovered it wasn’t in particularly good condition. The body was cracked and missing pieces. The circuit board seemed to have a bit of corrosion as well. I was optimistic that this was the problem. However once I...

Strange issue when revving under load.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ve tried using it and seeing if the problem goes away but it seems to be there regardless of the setting I’m on. I searched for faults but I didn’t see anyone complaining of faults. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
