No 100W will be giving of more light and more heat, hence why its drawing more power. If you want to compare brightness thou you look at lumens a bulb gives out not power it draws as alot of power is wasted through heat. i would be taking them out as theres a good chance it will melt the lense.

You will need h7 for both cornering and full beam, i would advise against using a hid kit, due to the fact they need to be turned on for a while to get the full brightsness, and flashing them on/off would probablt damage the ballast. Phillips diamond vision are pretty good

Clip is renaults diagnostic system, if its a faulty sensor it will trace it.
