@Bunta i fitted them mate and they are awesome but as you say very noisy when cold, I have bought another set of standard pads and just going to put them in for road use and keep the carbon Lorraine for track as they are prob wasted on the road. Thanks for reply

thanks for your help @turkie172 @RSRowe I was unsure because on of my mates took a gearbox out a clio 200 Gordini to repair the gearbox 3rd gear crunch and he said he couldn't remember the shaft splitting on the o s f so i wanted to make sure the shaft I got fitted my 197.

Thanks @Foxspeed it's only fronts he has so that's great . I will order the rear brakes from godspeed brakes. Do you known if the braided lines are the same "fronts" he has a set of them too.

battery voltage on cranking is 11.6 volts @RSROW. thanks

Battery is definitely ok I have checked the battery and had it on a charger when cranking. The car cranks/turns over no problem at all. Thanks

car looks good on track @Daverb , I had my 172 cup track car up for the 1st time last month and it was brilliant fun. cant wait to get back up. I did the track in reverse so want to try it normal way round. would like to compare the difference between the 172 and 197 on track.

@adamskie89 hi mate would def check this as the cars are getting on a bit and looks as though this might happen more often than not on the older cars.
