    My front discs have cracked!

These are the Brembo pads I went with (Brembo part no P68036) http://www.apbrakediscs.co.uk/front-brembo-brake-pads-renault-megane-ii-bm0-1-cm0-1-2-0-renault-sport-05-04-to.html @ £35.96 I paired them with the Brembo discs you linked above (Brembo part no 09.8904.10)...

    Contacting Renault for a favour...

Thanks Mentalpen. I was just looking for a lead really. So yes, I was just wanting some information on who to get in touch with to order some with the Renault U.K. Ltd at the bottom. I can't remember what the postcode is though of the top off my head. Might be an SO code. Done. Joe

    Contacting Renault for a favour...

So it turns out my Clio was originally a Renault UK company car, with a stamp in the handbook confirming this. (I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing! But it seems fine six years down the line.) It's still got the original Renault U.K. Ltd plates, which have begun to fade and have...

    Dented bonnet...great!

Seen your thread on SP&L on Pistonheads, good to see you're making progress. The insurance thing is a red herring, they're either liable or not. If they are liable, their insurance may cover their liability, but that's their issue. If it doesn't cover them, and they are liable, then it has to...

    Heating controls - modifying

You might want to get hold of a spare heater control unit from eBay to pull apart and work out what you can do, they look like they're about £20-25. I think the only difficulty will be with the central dial as it does both the fan speed and temperature. Unfortunately the Megane ones look...

    Peugeot 208 GTi opinions?

I had a go in one about six months ago - it was okay. I was thinking about this not too long ago: of all the new ones this would probably be the one I would actually buy, funnily enough. My only gripe was it did not feel very quick, the clutch was stupidly light, and the seat bolsters were too...

    Strange markings on headlights

Have you taken pictures of my lights by accident? :p I haven't been able to work out what's going on with the front lights, the marks on yours are in exactly the same place as they are on mine. It's not a mark on the lens, it's either inside or in the plastic itself. With the rears, the...

    Thinking bout a daily :/

At £1500 and diesel I'd be looking at any of the PD 1.9 TDI VAGs, something like a Leon or a Passat. You seem to be able to get the 130 versions of the Passats for your budget, would probably be a nicer place to be than a Matiz!

    CAE-Shifter for Clio 3 RS

Yeah, I can't think how it'd fit in with the rest of the Clio interior without a lot of custom work. They look great in older cars, like this Jetta: Or this Golf: ...I wonder if they make one for a Renault 5? A GT Turbo would look pretty awesome with one of these in... :thumbup1:

    200T Colours

If I were going to go for one, it'd have to be red with the Cup pack, I think they look stunning :thumbup1: I'd have to spec it with the full black interior (rather than the red trim) and the leather seats, though. Hopefully in the next year or so the finance deals will start to look a bit more...

    Caliper Colour Opinions.

I'm planning on doing this! Going to get them done like Subarus, I think it'll look great with albi blue. Like this, maybe minus the gold wheels though...

White 200 Sheffield Parkway this morning

The girlfriend reports that she spotted a rather nice looking 200 (FV59***) this morning at around 6:50, she was following in her Ka! Anyone on here? Joe

anyone know of any steel wheels that fit 197 rs?

Best bet would be to get four space saver steel wheels. The red spares that came with the Espace and Vel Satis fit - they are the same as the optional spare for the Megane 225. There's plenty around on eBay, but because they are suspended from below the car normally they tend to be a bit rough...

    Movie suggestions

Two favourite shows. I'm training as a patent attorney and recently had an argy-bargy meeting with a solicitor. Went in pretending I was Harvey Specter - totally pulled it off! Jen hasn't been in the current season. This omission disappoints me greatly. But, come on - there's no beating Donna.

    RB R27 M1-A1 Link today

I was on an economy run (being paid for mileage), you were making progress. Gave you a thumbs up and a flash, got a beep back :thumbup1: My colleague in the car was amazed that's what us Clio owners do - she just doesn't understand! :( Joe

Just a reminder when doing anything with a jack...

Wrist's okay, I thought it was going to bruise but seems fine. I'd always seen people slating the standard jacks you get with cars, but never really understood it and thought a trolley jack was just an unnecessary extravagance for something I do maybe twice a year. But when you think (and see)...

Just a reminder when doing anything with a jack...

Just thought I'd post this as I had a bit of a heart-in-mouth moment and nearly lost my right hand... Had the car up at the front on the Renault jack just to remove the wheel to clean it. I'd chocked the other wheel with a trusty wedge of wood, car in reverse (slight downward slope on the...

    Nissan Nismo outsales clio 200.....

Didn't realise the Juke had a six-speed manual. I hope Renault see sense and bring, say, a Gordini version of the 200T out with manual 'box, 230bhp and an LSD

    Fellow clio-ers need legal advice

Not much more to add, but get yourself on Pepipoo and see what their advice is. Court may be a good thing, if you can deal with it, you may get away with a ban and fine, but no points. Good luck.
