    Suspension and flat spot

Hi there, I bought my first 200 a few weeks ago and wasn't very impressed at the beginning but the more I drive it, the better it gets. I'd say give it a couple of thousand miles before putting up for sale, quite possible that you'll begin to like the car by then! You won't be kangarooing...

    Stealth exhaust

Awesome news, thanks for the feedback man! Are you using stock engine (upper/lower) mounts or Powerflex? Could you try and record a sound / video if you find the chance? Does it get a lot more noisy once exhaust system is pretty hot? I do fair bit of long distance driving for work and I'm...

    Stealth exhaust

Well the OEM exhaust at it's current state is pretty loud when hot and is just too loud (unpleasant) and boomy particularly when lifting off above 5.5K so a Miltek might even work quieter! :-)

    Stealth exhaust

Thanks for the advice guys. I wouldn't like to spend Akro money on a n/a car. Miltek cat back sounds good, wonder how it will sound with the Toyosport manifold. Wish I had bought the stock manifold instead of Toyo! We will see where it's blowing from tomorrow. If its definitely the exhaust...

    Stealth exhaust

What's your choice for a quiet, aftermarket exhaust? Power gains more than welcome while main target is replacing the blowing exhaust with a more meaty sounding but not significantly noisier one. Not exactly sure where it's blowing from just yet, sounds more like mid-silencer. Recently...

    Toyo sports manifold

Fitted Toyosport manifold to my 200 replacing the OEM one today, as it was blowing. I've driven about 100 miles (motorway cruising + a bit of B road blast) here's my initial experience: - I've noticed no flatspot. In fact I could even say low down power seems to have improved very slightly. -...

    Tightening suspension and steering

Great, thanks for the info. One final question: Would that be enough to upgrade the insert and bush or will I need the mounts as a whole? Powerflex sells as inserts and bushes like these: 1. https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-series/product-details/Upper+Engine+Mount+Torque+Arm+Bush/11168.html...

    Tightening suspension and steering

Well I said I'll stick to OEM but I'm changing the exhaust manifold to Toyosport (original is blowing) and investigating further, I've found several threads that advice use of uprated lower and upper engine mounts together with the manifold, to avoid manifold knocking the subframe. A little...

    Tightening suspension and steering

Many thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll go for OEM (unless super expensive) as I do fair bit of motorway driving for work and even the current state of ride feels very hard. I've had the car booked for a service next Friday, will report back once all work is done.

    Tightening suspension and steering

Hi all. I've recently bought a 2010 Clio Cup FF. It's on 75K miles and according to my very limited experience (150-200 miles) seems to be in pretty good condition. It'll be serviced next week where a few minor problems will be addressed. I want to have the car as tight and fresh as possible...

200: Looking for a specialist: East Sussex or London

Thanks guys. Two Techs sounds good, even closer than KTEC. The objective is to get the car as fresh and tight as possible. I've just bought a Toyosport manifold to replace the blowing one. Now I'd like to focus on suspension and steering. Previous owner had recently replaced the hub bearings...

200: Looking for a specialist: East Sussex or London

Hi all. I've bought a 2010 Clio 200 Cup FF on Friday. It seems a looked after car but has a few minor problems that needs to be addressed. I've already talked with Ktec but they're fully booked until August. I want to get the car tip-top and get tracking as soon as possible so I'm looking for a...

New member / potential 200 buyer

Many thanks for the warm welcome and comments. I am no exactly sure how much tracking I'll be doing. I used to be a regular track goer (at least once a month) in my early to mid 20's before I moved to the UK. I haven't been on a track for 7 years due to other commitments and now I want to go...

New member / potential 200 buyer

Hi guys, newbie here. I've been driving a boring Saab 9-3 diesel for the last couple of years due to mega high milage I was doing for work. Now I work from home drive a fraction of the amount I used to, so I think it's time I get rid of the Saab and get the Clio I always wanted! :-) I'll...
