    I got the parts fromRPD, cost for belts/water pump, and other bits, was around £300,( All came as a kit)but this was for the 250 engine. Total cost, was around £500

    Mine was the usual ticking sound on full lock.Only noticeable on full left lock.

    I have a meglio, with a 225 box. I had the CV joint started to tick on lock, so used the original shaft, with a new CV joint. Car is used for shopping, and around 6 track days a year, so my driveshaft, has lasted around 8 years, 75000 miles. Changing only one, will be fine.

    New driveshaft fitted, plus rear Calipers/disks/pads/Gearchange cables/ ball joints on front suspension, rear tyres replaced, roll on this years track days.

    It would seem, its almost normal to use the 225 in a Clio,less so with the 250 in a Clio.There is definitely more hassle with the 250, cooling, a 225,or 250 throttle body?. I could do a page with pluses/ minuses, but which ever way, a very worthwhile conversion.

    Cadwell 8th April, car going really well, noticed some slack in gear change, turns out cable problem, also time for rear disks /pads.When on track, car is worth every penny spent, a real pleasure to drive. Its a wonder there are not more 250 engine megs around.

    I had an R26R, and I would fit plain Brembo disks, but its personal choice.I find on track, drilled,or slotted disks, may pick up pad residue, and now since running plain disks, I don't get pad pick, so no shuddering, and disks seem less prone to warping.     Engine Cooling Fan - Not Working!

    The fan should draw air through rad, from outside car, NOT inside to out. I have seen this occur quite few times, mine included.
