There is a seal between the two halves aswell. Took me a little time to find a pic. I gutted mine and ran it for a while until the bearing failed. Without the pump hanging off the other side, it's asking quite alot of the bearing. I then fixed the problem with this...

Put some Mintex M1144 or M1155 in it. They’ll be more than you’ll ever need on the road, plus they’re cheap.

Nope, nothing like that. 1 of the 7 bolts is drilled on a different PCD so the flywheel will only fit in one position.
