    TRD Griffon GT86

Picking up my orange GT86 this week! Saved myself a bit by buying a second hand one with 2700 miles on it.

    Swapping out Recaros on PCP

Will the dealer not still settle the finance and sell it on at a profit for themselves though? So in effect it is still a trade in. I could potentially make a little if I was to sell privately but based on the market I'd be better saving myself the hassle of breaking even that way and just...

    Swapping out Recaros on PCP

Thanks for the replies guys. The Recaros were added in on the PCP deal itself so I suspect the residual value would have been based on them being included. Although they may have actually been left off the initial order. I seem to remember having to chase them on it. Looks like they stay with...

    Swapping out Recaros on PCP

My PCP deal is up in the summer and its looking unlikely that there will be any value left in it. So if I'm going to hand it back, it makes sense to hand it back sooner rather than later so I'm not wasting money on the remaining payments (I'm certain you can hand back after 50% of the total...

    Best extended warranty option

Another idea (albeit a riskier one) is to stick the cash you would have spent on the extended warranty in a savings account. If something comes up you have cash set aside for it, if not and you sell the car or whatever, you can put the cash towards your next car or a holiday etc. Depends how...

    200: first service due soon

It doesn't need to be done at a Renault dealer to maintain the warranty. An indy can do it as long as they are VAT registered and use approved parts (I think this all they need).

    Test drove a GT86

Quite a few have already got their hands on them in the US. I reckon their will be plenty of parts available to add a little extra power that would make it very good. And something needs to be done about the sound!

    Test drove a GT86

Had a test drive in a dark grey GT86 on Saturday. Posted this in a thread on Pistonheads but thought some of you might be interested. I like it. Its a nice place to sit, good driving position. Nice and low. Wheel and seat are quite adjustable and even at 6' 8" I managed to get comfortable...

200: Rattle ceoming from underside of dash

My 200 has developed a rattle that seems to be coming from somewhere near the pedals/ under the dash. Anyone experienced similar? Its most prevalent at town speeds so around 20-30mph. Below this I don't hear it. Seems to be something is just vibrating but I can't pinpoint it. Also, my...

How do I tell if my 200 is a cup?

Only 200 cups (not 200 plus cup pack) have the black door strips. I think the cup on the pillar might only be on the cheaper cup as well.

    Honda S2k, Evo 8 FQ340 or Audi S3

17k is decent amount for a fun car. For me I'd be thinking somenthing RWD BMW Z4M Coupe Honda NSX (not too many for sale just now) Nissan 370Z few around that price now Porsche Cayman (not a huge fan of the looks but supposed to be decent) 911 or Boxster If it was my money, it would...

    Continental<Hankook

I'm in a similar position. Fronts need replacing rears don't. Plan was to replace fronts with another set of CSC 3s and switch with the rears. Best price for two delivered is £224. I'm prepared to spend that as I know tyres are not to be messed with. However, if Hankooks get a good write up, it...

    200: running in a clio 200 cup

I looked into it before I got my 200, best advice I found was to avoid prolonged periods at constant revs. Other than that enjoy it.

    octavia vrs tonight...

Agree with tiababy, a stage 1 remap (around £400) gives a reliable 270bhp on those engines. My colleagues has one and it is impressively quick. Still returns good mpg as well!
