Hi from Oz

Plenty of the mods on the Clio are on the Megane too... Aluminium gearknob... Akrapovic exhausts... Fullriver lightweight agm batteries... Black diamond covers & debadged...

    Hi from Oz

Lol, thanks for the kind words. I competed in the NSW state titles on the weekend in the Clio & i'm certainly struggling with the idea of letting it go. Thinking I might just keep both now, it's just too well sorted, too competitive & too much bloody fun.

    Hi from Oz

Don't get me wrong the Megane is extremely capable & will always be way quicker on track but you always get out of the Clio with a smile on your face. The Megane is much more powerful with a big wall of torque from 3000-6500rpm but you can use every last hp the Clio has & that n/a at 8000rpm is...

    Hi from Oz

Eventually will go that way, just want to enjoy it as a road car for a while first. Still have the 200 for track duties & while not as quick as the 275 its definitely more fun on track anyway.

    Hi from Oz

No problem Travis, my Clio build thread is pretty much finished now anyway... A new addition arrived today (see below)... Will be keeping the 200 till end of 2016 race season then I might look at moving it on (if the right person enquires). The 275R will then step up as rally/race car once its...

    Hi from Oz

Yep tried using a g-clamp & an adjustable f-clamp but you need more leverage/room, the easiest way is to just remove the gearbox mount & punch it out.

    Hi from Oz

Hey, Yep catch can collects a surprising amount for an N/A engine, I empty it 1-2 times a year. The sight tube started leaking on mine so I removed it & fitted some blanking plugs in place. I also filled it with steel wool material to catch the excess suspended oil before its returned. Be sure...

Fitted Sprintbooster - Car stuck in limp mode

Mine did the same thing a couple of times after about 12 months of trouble-free use. When it threw the code it blew a fuse at the same time which needed to be replaced. From memory it was a red 10/15 amp fuse located in the lower fuse box on the p/side inner guard. Note it is the secondary box...

    Hi from Oz

The add says its a 30% reduction & that feels about right, doesn't feel artificial or too short & still feels oem if you know what I mean. After several years racing the car regularly Ive never had any issue with synchros or a clutch & when removed recently to fit Quaife the gearbox innards were...

    Hi from Oz

Yep, despite the install difficulties it is very well made & a nice mod. I've only tried it briefly on the road & yet to try it on track but so far so good.

    Hi from Oz

Will do in a few weeks once ive given them a good run. Not sure if my findings will be as applicable to your climate & circumstances but i'm happy to give it a go.

    Hi from Oz

Yep the instructions look easy but they show the install being done with the gearbox out of the car. With the gearbox out I have no doubt it would be a snap but with the gearbox in the car its a different story. Cable simply pops off. The problem is in removing the roll pins to remove the oem...

    Hi from Oz

Installed the Mtec short shifter today. An absolute bitch of a job to fit. Will give some feedback on how it performs after the next track day in 2 weeks. [/IMG]

    Hi from Oz

A new set of Nankang AR1 semis to try out arrived recently... Interested to see how they compare to the previous semis i've used on this car (Advans - Hankooks - Nittos). Yes these are cheap (handy when your replacing them 2 or 3 times a season) but they are still soft & sticky so should...

    Best air intake

For a road car you cant go past the factory intake. For a track car its more a case of horses for courses. Whatever intake the person has that your talking to will tell you theirs is the best but in all honesty you cant beat the oem intake imo.
