0.5m just does it, so either side of silencer, but 1m would allow you to cut further up the pipe, but from memory the pipe starts to both twist and change in shape/size a little bit. I went 0.5m and just sleeve clamps and if i wanted can refit standard silencer back on

from when i did a bit researching on 197 injectors, 172 injectors flow a lot less compared to 197, so I don't know why he would fit this engine if not for it's extra power Bu then throttle everything back down by fitting lower spec. parts and as mentioned you'd need the 197 ECU & loom/sensors...

Is your flat spot present even after the engine has warmed up?

go to your countries alpine website/connects support and email them, they can take a while to get back, but they do seem to get back. If generic controller not working you got 2 possibilities 1) connects controller faulty 2) your unit will only work with alpine controller

just looked in my manual and it lists the steering wheel control as adaptive, and is located under general settings, Function / Setup scroll down to Adaptive Steering control

If no mention in manual, perhaps it doesn't support stalk control Update - Just looked up manual and at end is connections no.20 is stalk control, but as you said no mention in setup so 1 possibility is Alpine have made this only compatible with their unit so it auto detects when plugged in.
