    shakey's 400hp Cup

Bit tricky, yeah including labour that I had to pay for, but I did most of the work myself.. ie mapping and welding, plus a few odds and sods..

    shakey's 400hp Cup

Meg conversion running 270bhp 300lb/ft should be under 4k if using clio box

Cheers for the comments guys, @Rogue it soon gets expensive if you consider the parts alone..

    shakey's 400hp Cup

I shudder to think exactly as have done a lot of development at the same time so always makes things a bit more expensive, I reckon it would be no more than 6.5k to be running at 400bhp. Not finished yet, there is still a lot more left in the engine. 450 should be easy enough with a set of...

    shakey's 400hp Cup

Yes still great to drive, puts power down very well.. but I run boost per gear, so more manageable..

    Gearbox

I agree with above: Clio box does a good job, but motorway miles are a bit annoying due to running higher revs.. The limiting factor and reason I have changed is the bell housing has not got enough depth to get a bigger clutch in. The uprated helix clutch for the clio seemed fine with 300lb/ft

Anyone tried or using NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs ?

Yep I do, and swear by them. Whether there is much/any advantage on a NA setup on standard power, probably not..

    shakey's 400hp Cup

I'm happy with the gtx3071 (have a look at the dyno print out on page 25 -makes over 150lb/ft from 2500rpm), but if you want to run at 400 thereabout bhp then the 28 would be a better option. The best option if you can get parts fabricated to suit would be a borg warner EFR 6758, country mile in...

    Megane Conversion

As a side note, torque is limiting factor on standard Meg bottom end -300lb/ft seems the agreed limit to avoid rod issues.

    Megane Conversion

Do you know is that the upper, lower or both? lower is bolted to gearbox with a threaded stud coming out from the top, upper is bolted to the car sub-frame with space for the stud to pass through. Cheers Andy
